Winter with a twist. This winter is going to be extraordinary. Definitely a lot different to the “white season” we have grown accustomed to. That said, we don’t only want to remember winter 2020 because of social distancing rules, disinfectants and facemasks. In springtime, we would much rather think back on those days spent in the fresh snow, on those runs on perfect pistes dropping all the way back down to the chalet, and on the après-ski with a twist that we experienced this year. And all the other reasons we decided to spend our winter holiday at ALPS.

A minimum distance is probably one of the most important measures we can implement in times like these. Social distancing made easy: You enjoy your winter holidays in a private chalet or apartment. Our holiday homes and apartments in Tyrol, Carinthia, Styria or Salzburger Land allow you to keep to yourself and feel just as safe as if you were within your own 4 walls. Our offer ranges from snug studios for 2, to spacious chalets and apartments with several bedrooms for more than 10 people.

You are miles removed from crowded buffet areas (and rigid mealtimes) during your holiday at ALPS. During your self-catering holiday, you serve yourself – in the fully equipped kitchen of your holiday home, you will find all the essential kitchen utensils. Prefer to eat breakfast in your pajamas before getting your vacation day underway? In your ALPS accommodations, you can keep completely to yourself and have the flexibility you want.

Your chalet right by the piste

No more pushing and shoving onto the ski bus!

Many of our chalet resorts and apartment complexes are located right by the piste or close to the valley station of popular (family) ski areas. Which means, you will essentially fall right out of your bed onto the piste. As is the case, for example, at Alpenchalets Reiteralm, at the exclusive Bergresort Hauser Kaibling, in the Kreischberg Chalets & Residences, at Mountain Resort St. Lambrecht, Alpendorf Dachstein West as well as Alpenpark Turracher Höhe and the new Turrach Lodges. As of Winter 2021/22, also at Carpe Solem Rauris, where, incidentally, the first model apartment is just being completed (opens summer 2021).

None of our premises are far from your next snowball fight, winter hike or sledding expedition. In most cases, they await you and your family right outside your own front door. Which equates to lots of space, not merely in your roomie holiday home, but also outdoors. On the mountain and in the valley.

Admittedly, the idea of celebrating to popular party hits in a crowded ski hut after a day of skiing may sound tempting to many. That said, our suggestion for après-ski in winter 2020 looks a little different. Here with us, you can go ahead and sweat to your heart’s content in the private sauna. Or in the whirlpool on the terrace. It will do you a world of good and is a great way to conclude a wonderful day on the slopes... Sip on mulled wine or hot punch with your loved ones, gazing out from the balcony, perhaps even wrapped in a snug blanket. So, how does that sound to you?

If the months since March 2020 have taught us anything, then it is the fact that we have to be flexible. Extraordinary times demand extraordinary measures. Which is why we have adapted our cancellation deadlines for you. We are well aware that none of us can make long-range (holiday) plans right now. But with the option, in a worst-case scenario, of re-booking or canceling your stay up to one week prior to arrival, you can “safely” dream of your winter holiday in Austria. As we all know, anticipation can be so sweet …
